Certification vs compliance

Compliance means meeting the requirements that apply to your business, whether those are laws, regulations, customer requirements or an ISO standard. ISO certification is independent proof that you have a management system in place that meets a recognised standard, and that you keep it working over time.

We help you build the management system and achieve certification. The certification itself is issued by an independent, accredited certification body, not by IMSM, which is what gives it credibility with the tenders, customers and regulators that ask for it.

Independent, accredited certification

The certifications we help you achieve are issued by third-party certification bodies. Where a standard is offered on an accredited basis, that accreditation (for example through JAS-ANZ in Australia and New Zealand) provides an extra layer of independent oversight of the certification body itself.
