Is ISO/IEC 17025 a certification?๏ผ
No. 17025 is achieved through accreditation, not certification. An accreditation body assesses your technical competence and grants accreditation for a defined scope of calibration or measurement. IMSM helps you implement the standard and become assessment-ready; the accreditation decision rests with the accreditation body.

ISO 9001 is about a general quality management system. ISO/IEC 17025 goes further, adding technical competence requirements such as method validation, measurement uncertainty, traceability and personnel competence. A well-run operation still has to prove it is technically capable to meet 17025.
